Zyxel makes mesh WiFi solution Multy Plus available for SMEs

Zyxel will let Techzine know about the availability of Multy Plus. This is a mesh WiFi solution for SMEs. For example, tri-band wifi and 5 GHz dedicated backhaul connections are offered, with speeds of up to 1,733 Mbps for 5,000 square meters via nine internal antennas.

At Multy Plus, the focus is on cybersecurity, among other things. This is due to the presence of AiShield, a security application that packages multiple functions from the user interface for mobile use. For example, the app comes with access control, to restrict access to tens of thousands of categories of unsuitable websites. Users also receive push notifications about network threats, can view threat and warning data, and can end or extend user authentication times with a single swipe.

Other functions

It is also Zyxel’s first mesh solution that can be managed via an app and a web-based interface. In this way, Zyxel wants to offer companies flexibility in managing their networks. This allows you to control data usage, adjust bandwidth allocations and divide the network into up to three services. This concerns one for administrators, one for employees and one for visitors. They all have three different permissions.

With Multy Plus, Zyxel also hopes to simplify and streamline the login screen to gain access to the network. In the GUI, companies will find options for setting up this ‘captive portal’. Here they can configure the password, the terms of use and images.

Availability

Zyxel supplies the mesh WiFi system as standard with the following mounting options: wall, ceiling, desktop and T-balance and an upright stand. By the way, every Multi Plus comes with a 30-day trial for AiShield, the duo packs contain a free license for one year. Although Zyxel talks about immediate availability, we do not yet find the products directly in the Dutch stores. So we can’t find a price yet.
