LG presents two new monitors: the UltraFine Ergo 4K UHD (32UN880) and a 144 Hz version of the 38-inch Curved UltraWide QHD+ monitor (38WN95C).

LG enriches the Ultra series within its monitor line-up with two new business models. The most eye-catching innovation is the LG 32UN880, which swapped a classic monitor stand for a flexible one that clamps to your desk. The design resembles the Samsung Space Monitor, which was launched in early 2019.

Thanks to the fixed base, you gain a lot of space on any desk and you can set up the monitor much more flexibly compared to a classic base. The USB-C connection (no Thunderbolt 3) ensures that you can use any laptop with USB-C.

The monitor supports HDR10 and has a maximum brightness of 350 cd/m². The 31.5-inch 10-bit screen has a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) and achieves 95% of DCI-P3 color coverage. The refresh rate is 60 Hz and is supported by AMD Radeon FreeSync. In addition to USB-C you will find two HDMI inputs, DisplayPort and two USB connectors at the back.

21:9 monitor, 144 Hz

In addition to the radically new Ergo monitor, the LG 38WK95C will be upgraded. The new model, the LG 38WN95C, has a curved 1 ms Nano IPS screen and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The 38 inch 10-bit 21:9 screen has a resolution of 3,840 x 1,600 pixels and a DCI-P3 colour range of 98%. Like the current model, the LG 38WN95C VESA DisplayHDR 600 is certified with a maximum brightness of 450 cd/m².

To combine business and pleasure in one monitor, LG has made the unit G-Sync compatible to get the most out of the 144 Hz refresh rate. To achieve that high refresh rate over USB-C, LG has equipped the 38WN95C with Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.

If you only have USB-C USB 3.1 on your laptop, you can enjoy the high screen resolution via DisplayPort Alt mode, but probably at a lower refresh rate. At the back, we find two HDMI inputs, DisplayPort and two USB connections.

For the time being, LG does not give any details about when the new monitors will be available and what price tag they will get.
