The Yoga Tab 11 and 13 aim to compete with Apple’s iPad offerings.
Lenovo has made a splash at Mobile World Congress 2021, announcing five new Android-based tablet models. One of the most impressive members of the new line-up is the Yoga Tab 13, which sports 13-inch screen. There is also the slightly smaller 11-inch version (Tab 11), along with the Tab M7 and Tab M8. There is also the Tab P11 Plus.
Lenovo announced the new products in a press release this week. The company says that the new line is based around “strong multi-purpose performance”.
Focus on Home Entertainment
The company describes the Yoga Tab 13 as “practically a portable home-cinema.” The unit offers substantial entertainment features for all-day streaming of up to 12 hours in 1080p clarity.
Lenovo claims it is more power-efficient and less reflective than other LCDs. Moreover, its large 13-inch 2K LTPS (Low Temperature Poly-Silicon) display offers 400 nits of brightness and 100 percent sRGB color gamut. The panel is also powered by Dolby Vision® HDR, which delivers incredible detail along with ultravivid picture quality.
The Tab 13’s barrel itself makes holding the tablet comfortable, and helps thin the rest of the body right down, despite it containing a 10,000mAh battery and four JBL-tuned, Dolby Atmos speakers. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor and 8GB of RAM, with the choice of either 128GB or 256GB storage space.
The Yoga Tab 11’s screen is smaller and has a 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution, while retaining the 60Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision, but swaps the Qualcomm chip out for a MediaTek Hello G90T. Both run Android 11 and there’s an 8GB/256GB or a 4GB/128GB model to choose from. The Tab 11 is a little lighter than the 830 gram Yoga Tab 13 at 655 grams.
Included in Lenovo’s latest Android tablets is the debut of Entertainment Space from Google. The tablets also include Google Assistant, which can play song choices by voice via the tablet’s dual mics.
