Microsoft has released the first Windows Experience Pack. This is a small-scale update that should add new features beyond the usual feature updates.

Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.1070.0 contains two improvements. The largest of these is the possibility to paste screenshots taken with the screenshot feature directly into a folder. This feature can be accessed by pressing WIN + SHIFT + S. The other improvement is that 2-in-1 devices now support a split virtual keyboard in portrait mode.

Windows Insider

The update will initially only be available to users running a Windows Insider build. Still, Microsoft intends to implement the new way of updating in the release version of Windows 10 as well.

Minor updates

New features in Windows are usually only released twice a year in major updates. The frequent smaller updates generally contain only security patches and other changes under the bonnet.

Android support

Microsoft will continue pushing major feature updates for the time being. Next year, for example, the operating system should see some changes to the user interface and may receive the ability to run Android apps.
