Thales is increasing its hiring goals for 2022 and expects to bring on 11,000 employees globally.

With 81,000 employees in 68 countries, Thales is a major player in the aerospace, defence and digital identity sectors. The organization wants to hire nearly 11,000 new workers globally, focussing on the United Kingdom (650), North America (700), Asia (630) and continental Europe (1,200, excluding France).

Most of the hires will take place in France. Thales is hiring 4,000 individuals on permanent or fixed-term contracts across its 46 French facilities, together with 2,500 starters on internship or apprenticeship contracts and 2,500 internal mobility options.

Who’s in demand?

Thales is primarily looking for software engineers, systems architects, cybersecurity engineers, data analysts, artificial intelligence specialists, and project managers.

In the announcement, the organization promotes its internal mobility. According to Thales, employees have considerable skill development due to a mixed stack of tech, including artificial intelligence, connectivity, cybersecurity, and quantum technologies.

For instance, during their career, a Thales employee may work on satellite designs in Italy, defence systems in Australia, and green aviation projects in the South of France. The majority of Thales’ initiatives have a significant global component.
