After another round of investment, DevRev is worth more than a billion dollars. This time, the company raised $100.8 million.
DevRev was launched in 2021 by Nutanix founder Dheeraj Pandey, when it had already been operating in stealth for a year. The company lets developers build AI solutions based on data from legacy systems, retrieving and analyzing that data.
The additional injection of $100.8 million raised DevRev’s total value to $1.1 billion. Whoever exceeds the magic limit of 1 billion may call themselves a “unicorn.”
Trust
“Design will play a key role in building trust with end users, who have inevitably begun to witness the AI hype cycle of broken prototypes and bespoke one-off GPT wrappers that are inherently unmaintainable and not secure,” Pandey said. “Trust is built by delivering fast, accurate and personalized AI solutions.”
A major benefit of DevRev, according to Pandey, is that it enables better teamwork between different departments. Customer expectations are ideally a lot more insightful than before for developers within organizations with this solution.
In any case, Pandey can rest on the confidence of parties who also supported him in building Nutanix. For example, Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures, is convinced that Pandey is one of the few who can make AI deployable for organizations.
