Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting is now generally available. The managed security service is part of Microsoft Security Experts for Microsoft 365 Defender.
The service helps security operations centers (SOCs) find threats in endpoints, Office 365, cloud apps and identity management systems.
Microsoft provides customers with assistance from security experts that detect threats in enterprise systems. The experts use data from Microsoft Defender and AI to investigate issues, instruct on mitigation and advise on general improvements. The experts also help hunt threats in all Microsoft 365 Defender products.
Microsoft Security Experts
The Microsoft Defender Experts for Hunting service is part of the Microsoft Security Experts portfolio launched in May. All services combine human input with AI-based tooling to strengthen the security of customers.
The portfolio includes Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise and Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR services for SMBs. Microsoft Security Services for Enterprise was launched in May and provides proactive threat hunting and XDR capabilities for enterprises. Microsoft Defender Experts for XDR for SMBs supports SOCs that service SMBs. The latter service will become available this fall.
