The feature uses AI to offer suggestions while filling in fields in a form. This functionality will become available for Dynamics 365 and Power Apps.
In unveiling the Copilot feature, Microsoft discusses a new option for all model-driven apps. These software components use a database to create forms, dashboards, and tables. Fill-in assistance may be visible to all everyday ERP users and users of Power Apps applications. Power Apps is used to develop software, functions and components for financial, sales, marketing, HR, operational and front-line purposes.
Help
Copilot will make suggestions based on app usage and data patterns when filling in a form. It also considers what information is already in the form. The user can then accept all suggestions or select a certain number. Of course, a final check is still required; the information in the form is not saved until the user confirms it.
To take advantage of Copilot’s help, the feature must be enabled in Dynamics 365. By default, the feature is enabled for users. For companies that do not want the fill-in assistance, the administrator can disable Copilot help.
Copilot will be part of the 2024 Release Wave 1 plan. This update cycle will bring new features to Dynamics 365 from April through September 2024.
