Vista Equity Partners made a €4.2 billion bid to acquire KnowBe4

Vista Equity Partners will pay €24 euros per KnowBe4 share, a 39 percent capital gain over KnowBe4’s last listing. The company has seen its share price drop since the beginning of this year.

Acquistion bid confirmed

KnowBe4 has confirmed Vista Equity Partners’ interest and will form a team to review the bid. In doing so, it aims to meet the interests of its current shareholders. An acquisition is not guaranteed, and no further announcements will be made until the review is completed.

KnowBe4 provides security awareness training and a platform for simulating phishing attacks. The organization also focuses on fighting CEO fraud, ransomware and other social engineering tactics.

Strong interest in tech companies

According to experts cited by Reuters, Vista Equity Partners’ interest in the security awareness company is another sign of investor interest in companies with falling share prices. At this time, such companies typically suffer from rising interest rates and a poor economic outlook.
