Acer has introduced a series of four new Chromebooks, with an obvious and serious lean toward the enterprise user. The Next@Acer press conference saw the Acer Chromebook 317 unveiled as the industry’s first 17.3-inch Chromebook, built for heavy-duty multi-taskers who also want their device to double as an entertainment platform.
The Chromebook 317 comes with a thin-bezel display, upward-facing speakers, and a backlit keyboard to boost productivity and still offer entertainment value.
It is powered by Intel Celeron and comes with Intel Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) and for productivity purposes, twin USB-C ports on both sides, as well as a 10-hour battery.
Chromebook Spin
The Chromebook 317 will be available to buyers this June, with prices starting at $379.99. Next up, we have the Acer Chromebook Spin 713 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin which are also first in the world at something (the first Chromebooks to get Intel Evo Platform verified).
The Chromebooks are built around the VertiView 13.5-inch display, powered by the latest 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and twin Thunderbolt 4 ports.
They have an aluminium chassis and a durability rating of MIL-STD 810H and will be available in June too, with prices starting at 700 euros.
Let’s get smaller
For those who want the convenience and portability of a 14-inch display, the Acer Chromebook 514 and Acer Chromebook Enterprise 514 are here for you. They have the latest 11th Gen Intel Core processors, a durability rating of MIL-STD 810H, and a 10-hour battery.
These will be on sale from August, with pricing to start at 599 euros.
The Acer Chromebook 314 allows you to go even smaller. It comes with a 15-hour battery and will be available from June, with prices from at least 270 euros. Acer also announced the new Predator Triton and Helios gaming notebooks, among other high-end releases for creative professionals and those seeking the most bang for their buck.
