The latest release of the Appian Platform focuses on AI that meets the strictest security requirements. Appian 24.3 is also greatly expanding the number of features.
Appian intends to provide AI that amplifies the value of data and automates more business processes than ever. However, protecting enterprise data is impossible when deployed with ChatGPT, Gemini, or any other public chatbot. Still, employees are looking for the answers AI can provide, with the AI Copilot within Appian coming to the rescue.
Appian 24.3 is taking over from an iteration that has been going strong for over a year. Version 24.2 dates back to April and we described in detail at the time.

Appian AI: more functionality
Appian’s extensive AI offerings are multifaceted. For example, the company is launching a new Copilot for data fabric use, allowing insights from enterprise data to be gleaned within a single chat window. Appian promises to provide transparent and reliable answers with the AI-driven assistant.
Enterprise Copilot helps users find information within a curated set of documents. Meanwhile, Process HQ helps employees examine processes through AI-generated suggestions, including critical data like KPIs, among other details and filters. Information also becomes more searchable thanks to the AI Copilot in Case Management Studio, where data fields can be built through a streamlined experience within Appian.
The AI features at Appian will also help developers from now on. Expression rules can be automatically provisioned with automated tests. Also, Prompt Builder AI Skills are now available within more Appian Cloud regions, including Europe.

“Appian AI Copilot empowers users to explore and understand their enterprise data more effectively, using natural language and fewer steps. Now, you can ask AI Copilot questions about your entire data catalog, providing comprehensive insights and enabling more informed decision-making,” said Sanat Joshi, Executive Vice President of Product and Solutions at Appian.
Although AI regulation is still in flux, Appian is already sorting for it. AI Copilot and AI Skills now meet HITRUST certification requirements. This standard is followed by 15 of the 20 most valuable companies in the world.
