Meta launches Muse Wonder: frontier models for agents

Meta has unveiled Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, Meta Superintelligence Labs’ most powerful models to date. They are designed to deliver top performance in personal and business agent tasks, memory, and programming.

The new models represent the next step on what Meta calls its “scaling ladder.” According to the company, they bring it significantly closer to the goal of “personal superintelligence.” Muse Wonder will soon power the Muse personal assistant, initially for paying users. In addition, Meta plans to use the model to develop smaller, specialized models that will later be available to all Muse users.

Meta trained both models at its Prometheus data center, which operates on a gigawatt scale. According to the company, the result is fourteen months of work during which it rebuilt the entire AI stack. That overhaul resulted in Muse Spark in April. That model performed well on language and vision tasks but lagged behind the competition in programming and complex abstract reasoning. At the time, it tied for fourth place in the Artificial Analysis rankings.

Active memory and active focus

Two concepts are central. Active Memory retains important context about the user across multiple conversations and retrieves relevant details as soon as a task requires it. Active Focus describes how the model persists in working toward a challenging goal: it tries different approaches, overcomes obstacles, and adapts to new information. It also asks for clarification when necessary and checks with the user before taking important actions.

Meta cites state-of-the-art results on benchmarks such as MemoryBench, FocusBench, SWE-Marathon, and DeepSWE. The models are also reported to perform well on domain-specific tests, such as Harvey’s Legal Agent Benchmark and Vals Finance Agent V2.

Security

Because a personal agent has access to messages, calendars, and private documents, Meta says it has invested extra effort in alignment. The models are said to be more resistant to malicious instructions and to handle personal data with greater care. According to Meta, Muse Wonder offers the strongest protection to date against CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) and cyber abuse, while defensive cyber applications remain available. A full report with additional security evaluations will follow shortly.

Muse Wonder is available immediately via the Meta Model API, while Wonder Full is currently available only to Muse Code subscribers.
