Microsoft Outlook users have been hit by a “flood” of spam messages in their mailboxes since yesterday. Possible cause of the amount of spam are broken email filters in the tech giant’s infrastructure.

According to several end users, Inbox within Microsoft Outlook is being significantly affected by large amounts of spam messages that manage to evade the filters. Even messages previously tagged as spam are re-entering inboxes anyway. Other filter settings would also fail to work.

No response Microsoft yet

Microsoft itself has not yet responded to the problem. The official Office site states that the systems for MS Outlook are working normally. A possible cause could be a glitch in the tech giant’s spam filters, writes BleepingComputer.

In addition, the abundance of spam appearing in inboxes has reportedly been a problem for some time. First indications of this inconvenience were reportedly noticed in November 2021.
