Microsoft brings its planning application To Do to Mac. The successor to Wunderlist now also works offline on Apple computers.

Microsoft brings To Do to Mac. To Do is the spiritual successor to Wunderlist, which Microsoft bought in 2017. Wunderlist is still active, but in the long run Microsoft wants its own service to take over the torch of that application. The To Do-app has been available for a long time as an online service and as an app on Windows, iOS or Android. So you can use it on your Mac, too. Of course, the application synchronises across platforms and the web interface.

Integration

Also on Mac To Do integrates with Outlook. This integration makes the service useful for those who want to keep an overview of their professional tasks. This way you can flag your mails in the popular mail program and find them in an overview in To Do. On other platforms, the application also works together with Microsoft Planner, but this integration has not yet been completed in the Mac app. Microsoft is working on it.

Microsoft highlights some unique Mac features on its blog. For example, with ?2 you can minimize the application to the list overview and park the application in a corner while checking off task by task. With ?1 you maximize To Do again. Microsoft built the app completely native with AppKit.
