OutSystems launches Agentic Loan Applications

OutSystems is expanding its Agentic Industry Solutions with Agentic Loan Applications, a ready-to-use system for consumer credit. It combines mobile and web applications, data models, governed agents, and deterministic workflows on top of existing banking systems.

The new solution sits on top of the systems banks already use. Agents are provided with an operational context: the bank’s policies, the existing systems, and their interdependencies. According to OutSystems, each loan decision remains the bank’s responsibility.

Agents first put to the test

Agentic Loan Applications collects and verifies documents, performs identity and sanctions screening, and compiles a complete application that is forwarded to the bank’s existing loan origination system. The banking agents are pre-tested against dozens of evaluation criteria, including relevance, accuracy, and personal data protection. Every change to a model, prompt, or tool is followed by a retest.

The choice of model is also made in advance. OutSystems evaluated multiple models via Amazon Bedrock and selected variants that, according to the company, run up to 82 percent more cost-effectively.

“Banks do not need more isolated agents. They need governed agentic systems that improve real customer journeys and can stand up to risk review,” says Luis Blando, Chief Product and Technology Officer at OutSystems.
