OutSystems Agent Experience opens platform to Claude Code and Cursor

OutSystems is making Agent Experience generally available. This allows developers to deploy external AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and Kiro on the low-code platform. The agent defines the architecture, and OutSystems generates the code. Governance and security are built in by default.

OutSystems announced this during the OutSystems World Tour in Las Vegas. According to the company, with Agent Experience, AI agents operate at the system design level. The external coding agent defines the architecture, after which the platform deterministically generates the code. Each agent automatically accounts for system dependencies, data relationships, and existing business logic.

“Coding agents have unlocked unprecedented velocity, but the real friction is operational overhead and fragmented code,” says CEO Woodson Martin.

Guardrails and freedom of deployment

Agent Experience enforces out-of-the-box security, automated testing, and governance guardrails by operating at the system design level. This ensures that software quality, reliability, scalability, and performance remain fully predictable.

Applications and AI agents can run in the public cloud, private cloud, on-premises, or in a hybrid environment. OutSystems refers to this as “operational sovereignty.” OutSystems assures that this approach enables compliance with strict regulatory and security requirements.

First customers

Three early-access customers shared their results. Sign manufacturer YESCO is developing with Claude Code and has reduced its release cycles to two weeks. The U.S. law firm Lowenstein Sandler built a production-ready Litigation Matter Tracker in less than three hours. Completing an application there now takes 5 to 10 minutes instead of an hour.

The Danish retailer Normal combines Claude with the Enterprise Context Graph and Mentor. One developer built an application in two weeks, a task that previously took six weeks. That difference is striking.

Insurers in the spotlight, too

At the same time, OutSystems announced Agentic First Notice of Loss, a new solution for insurers launching in November. Starting today, the Insurance Agent Kit, featuring ready-to-use claims agents, is already available on OutSystems Forge. Previously, the company launched Agentic Loan Applications for banks. Developers can customize all these components using Agent Experience through their preferred coding agent.
