The release includes improvements and enhancements to all aspects of the platform.

This week DataRobot unveiled its first release for 2021, which is a full new version of its AI platform. DataBot 7.0 offers improved scoring tools in Data Prep, and the company added image augmentation to Visual AI. They also have introduced customizable compliance reports in AutoML and AutoTS.

There is even a way for users to easily compare their forecasting models to those of DataRobot. In MLOps, they added the ability to challenge any model built in any language or framework, and deployed to any environment.

Here are the major enhancements in version 7.0:

DataRobot have improved their self-service data preparation to allow users to easily prepare data for model training. Now they can also use the platform’s visual data prep capabilities to score new data after their models are built. Users can then integrate the scored data back into their production data pipelines.

Release 7.0 also boasts enhanced AutoML’s Visual AI capability with training time image augmentation. When this feature is enabled, DataRobot will create new training images from a dataset by randomly transforming existing images, thereby increasing the size of the training data via augmentation.

“Choose Your Own Baseline”

The new release includes a public Beta version of a new feature that allows users to compare the output of their forecasting models with predictions from DataRobot’s Automated Time Series product. This comparison allows users to have confidence that DataRobot is forecasting as expected, according to the company. They also say it helps users to understand if DataRobot’s own models are more or less accurate than the user’s existing ones.

To compare the forecasts, users only need to upload a spreadsheet containing their current model’s baseline data and run Autopilot as per usual. Once Autopilot has completed, the leaderboard will display exactly how each model DataRobot built compares to the user’s own baseline model.

Users can find full descriptions of these and other features in Release 7 on the DataRobot Community and in the release notes of the DataRobot product documentation.
