TD Synnex becomes primary global distributor of SAS

SAS has reached an agreement with TD Synnex to become its primary global distributor. This will use a two-tier distribution model: TD Synnex will provide channel partners tools, so they can offer customers the SAS solution they want.

The agreement covers the European, U.S. and Asian markets. “Embracing distribution and elevating our partnerships through indirect channels is an important part of our growth strategy,” said John Carey, Vice President of Global Channels at SAS. “Our new agreement with TD Synnex will help us improve scalability, reach untapped markets and deliver results for our customers alongside our valued SAS partners.”

The analytics vendor says resellers of SAS solutions will benefit from an enhanced experience through TD Synnex. They should gain access to additional expertise, a dedicated regional presence and further reach into new markets through the agreement. Partners can improve the customer experience through the availability of SAS through TD Synnex, the thinking goes.

The announcement of TD Synnex as the primary global distributor will take place during SAS Explore. During this tech conference, SAS also announced new Viya tools and a partnership with Microsoft for generative AI.
