ABBYY and PAteam will combine forces, which in this case means that PAteam will use ABBYY technology. A combination of PAteam’s Robotic Process Automation expertise and ABBYY’s content IQ solutions is intended to help customers automate repetitive tasks.

According to research commissioned by ABBYY, 63 percent of company employees would outsource their repetitive work to bots, if possible. The two companies want to make this possible for more companies. This should be done by combining ABBYY’s IQ content products with PAteam’s RPA solutions. In the first instance, the cooperation will focus on Europe. For the future, worldwide activities will not be excluded.

Martijn Zuiderbaan, CCO at PAteam, finds ABBYY’s extensive technical knowledge the most important reason to work together. The large product portfolio for both small and large companies also plays a role: “ABBYY’s technology is highly scalable and the company understands how to best automate processes. We really see ABBYY as the enabler of automation and as an expert in the field of content IQ. ABBYY enables us, together with our customers, to automate a range of new use cases that are normally not suitable for RPA.”

Multiple solutions

The first ABBYY product that PAteam will include in its portfolio is FlexiCapture. This is a platform for intelligent data recognition in documents. Other solutions will follow in due course. The press release specifically mentions the Vantage and Timeline solutions. These are, respectively, a platform for structuring unstructured data and a process monitoring solution.

Robert Bien, Head of Channel Sales Benelux and France at ABBYY, reports on the partnership: “PAteam is a true RPA expert, while ABBYY is also very active in the field of content alongside RPA. The combination of our activities brings many benefits to customers, because the joint offer directly benefits their initiatives in the field of RPA.”
