Microsoft acquired Slovakian process mining startup Minit to further expand its Process Insights business unit.

Minit develops a process mining platform. The platform collects and visualizes data on most processes and workflows. In addition, the platform offers tools to tackle inefficiencies in processes and workflows. Machine learning is used to determine the cause of inefficiencies.

Furthermore, managers can also use a built-in simulation engine to test different options for solving the problem found and find the way that is most effective for this.

Addition to Power Automate

Microsoft acquired Minit to gain market share in business automation software. The tech giant contends with its Power Automate RPA solution, which allows companies to create workflows for repetitive business tasks. Minit’s functionality and tooling are expected to be integrated into Power Automate RPA over the course of time.
