Salesforce has made a public beta of Einstein Copilot available for Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud. Organizations can now deploy this generative AI assistant in their sales and service processes. Employees should be able to work faster and more efficiently with the help of Einstein Copilot. The coming months should reveal exactly how much organizations can gain from this new AI assistant.

Previously, Sales or Service Cloud employees had to create everything themselves. If there were questions they had to answer them, if content was needed, for example a sales e-mail or a service request, they had to write it. They could work with templates to some extent, but that is often impersonal and certainly not customized.

Einstein Copilot takes care of business

Using Einstein Copilot is going to change this significantly. Employees can now ask Einstein Copilot to write that sales email or service request. They don’t have to write elaborate prompts to get things done, because Einstein Copilot has access to all of an organization’s data in the Salesforce Data Cloud. This data also contains a lot of metadata, which Einstein Copilot can use to determine what the context of the situation is.

With this context, a sales e-mail for a service provider will look very different from that of an online shoe store. The same applies to the Service Cloud; based on previous conversations and a knowledge base, Einstein Copilot can generate answers on incoming customer questions. With a click of a button, an employee can choose the best answer and the customer will be informed.

The personal assistant you’ve been missing for years

Einstein Copilot is secretly the virtual personal assistant you’ve been missing for years. Copilot performs all the repetitive tasks you’ve done yourself 1,000 times. Because it has access to the organization’s data, it is always updated on the latest information. Are those shoes in a specific size in stock or not? If used properly, employees become much more productive with Einstein Copilot. The coming beta period will show how straightforward or complex it will be to deploy Einstein Copilot within an organization.

Einstein Copilot for Commerce and Marketing Cloud is coming soon

Organizations can start with Einstein Copilot for Sales and Service Cloud, but later this year Commerce and Marketing peers will also be able to start using Einstein Copilot. Salesforce is currently finalizing these versions of Copilot. Earlier this month, Slack AI was also released. Salesforce has the momentum going.

Einstein Copilot requires a different subscription

If Salesforce is to be believed, Einstein Copilot will allow organizations to operate much more efficiently. Much more work can be done with the help of Copilot. That also means that Einstein Copilot is not included in existing Salesforce subscriptions. Customers must upgrade to an “Einstein 1” subscription. Salesforce already had Starter Suite, Pro Suite, Enterprise and Unlimited; on top of that, Einstein 1 Sales and Einstein 1 Service are now added. Einstein 1 Sales and Einstein 1 Service will cost $500 per month per user. That makes these subscriptions $170 more expensive than the Unlimited version. If Einstein Copilot can do what Salesforce promises, organizations will have no problem paying for it, it will ultimately yield much more for them.
