Pure Storage and AWS announce a three-year partnership to develop joint solutions for managing Kubernetes environments. The Portworx platform on AWS should make it easier to manage data and run containers through Amazon EKS.

Pure Storage’s Portworx platform allows companies to create storage pools that automatically scale based on applications’ requirements. In addition, the platform allows files to be distributed across multiple data centers to prevent downtime. The platform was designed for managing Kubernetes workloads.

Pure Storage and AWS will be developing joint solutions for container orchestration on Amazon EKS. Among other things, customers gain access to persistent storage, data protection, disaster recovery, data security, cross-region and hybrid data migrations and automated storage management. For this purpose, solutions such as Portworx Enterprise and PX-Backup are made available to AWS customers.

Early access to Portworx Backup-as-a-Service

Furthermore, Pure Storage announces that customers are eligible for early access to the new Portworx Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS) service on AWS. The tool was designed to simplify Kubernetes-based app security. In the near future, additional as-a-service tools and services will become available for AWS through Pure Storage’s Portworx platform.
