Jet-Stream launches Jet-Stream Cloud, a video platform for broadcasters. The platform allows organizations to deliver streaming services that comply with the latest tech and industry standards.
According to the Dutch video streaming technology provider, the release offers a user-friendly video platform that reduces operational costs and delivery times. The cloud-based platform should help broadcasters and other media providers gain control over their streaming services, scale up operations and ensure uptime, quality and performance.
Functionality
The platform aims to achieve up to 430 percent faster streaming delivery. These speeds greatly improve the accessibility of 4K and 8K streaming, among other formats. The uptime guarantee is 99.999 percent, up slightly from the industry average of 99.998 percent. The platform also offers cloud encoders, real-time statistics and advanced workflow optimization.
According to Jet-Stream, the platform gives broadcasters full control over every step of their streaming workflows. This also allows them to integrate and mix services with other applications from Jet-Stream.
Data and privacy security
Jet-Stream Cloud also features a data security checklist that helps organizations review whether service providers comply with the GDPR and US Cloud Act. The checklist can prevent major privacy issues. Furthermore, the platform offers Contextual Video Advertising, allowing publishers to maintain high CPM value and ad targeting without violating user privacy.
