Microsoft and Meta integrate Workplace into Teams

Microsoft and Meta integrate Workplace into Teams

Microsoft and Meta announce intent to more closely work together in integrating other’s business solutions. An initial collaboration involves the integration of Microsoft Teams into Meta’s Workplace collaboration platform.

With the collaboration, Microsoft Teams users gain access to content available in Meta Workplace. In addition, Workplace users will be able to stream or broadcast Teams meetings directly in their environment.

Efficiency

The functionality should allow employees to work more efficiently with both tools, removing the need to switch from one to another. Furthermore, the integrated solution should provide employees with more opportunities for company-wide feedback and interaction.

Application in Teams

Workplace content will be available via a special application in Microsoft Teams. The application can be pinned to the Teams navigation bar. Teams administrators can ‘highlight’ key content in the Meta Workplace application.

This is not the first time Microsoft and Meta have partnered on solution integration. The Workplace solution already integrates with SharePoint, OneDrive, Office 365, and Azure Active Directory, among others.
