Ferrari has agreed to make Amazon Web Services (AWS) their artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud storage provider. This is to aid the design and testing of their cars and launch their fan engagement platform.

Amazon Web Services has agreed to be luxury carmaker Ferrari’s provider for artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud storage. This will be helping Ferrari in streamlining the designing and testing of their cars. They will also launch a fan engagement platform for their Scuderia Ferrari racing team that competes in Formula One.

AWS said, “Together, the companies will accelerate the pace of innovation across the entire Ferrari organization,” which includes the Ferrari Challenge, road cars department, Formula One team, and GT Competitions.

Relying on Amazon Web Service’s advanced analytics, database, machine learning, storage, and compute capabilities, Ferrari will be able “to rapidly achieve insights into car design and performance on the road and track,” as stated by AWS.

Other details regarding the partnership

In a separate statement, Ferrari said that the impending engagement platform they want to develop with AWS would connect fans of Formula Ones with the drivers’ and racing team’s daily life through interactive applications, exclusive content, and personalization tools. The financial details regarding this deal have not been disclosed.

Ferrari’s Scuderia racing team’s cars and apparel will feature the AWS logo on them due to this partnership, and the first reveal is during this coming weekend’s French Grand Prix.
