Westcon-Comstor acquires AWS partner Rebura

Global distributor Westcon-Comstor can now offer more in cloud migrations with the acquisition of London-based Rebura.

Rebura is an AWS service partner and solution provider. Since 2017, Rebura has been supporting companies with its consulting services in cloud migrations and modernization projects. Companies can also turn to Rebura to develop their SaaS and DevOps strategies. Last year, Rebura highlighted its expertise in AWS through its renewed partnership with the cloud provider. Rebura has seven AWS competencies, including migration, Microsoft Workloads and DevOps.

Although a British company, Rebura has opened offices in other European countries. Its Amsterdam office supports Dutch companies and operates in the Scandinavian market.

Westcon-Comstor sees the acquisition of Rebura as interesting because it allows it to combine its cybersecurity expertise. Joining forces will create “a powerful cloud offering for channel partners,” the company sees. Westcon-Comstor also operates in the Netherlands.

Future

Following the acquisition, Westcon-Comstor will offer Rebura’s consulting services through its Westcon and Comstor lines of business. Rebura will continue to function as an independent organization. In doing so, it does “form the foundation of Westcon-Comstor’s AWS line of business, leveraging Westcon-Comstor’s extensive global network of technology resellers, systems integrators and service providers to help more end-user businesses and partners on their cloud migration journey.”

The acquisition price paid by Westcon-Comstor for Rebura is unknown.
