Aruba launches Instant On solution: wifi for smaller organisations

Aruba, part of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, has launched a new range of wireless solutions designed to meet the current and future needs of small businesses with growth potential. This is Instant On, which contains indoor/outdoor wifi access points (APs). The APs provide a secure, high-speed wireless connection without the need for complicated installation or management.

According to Aruba, the need for a seamless, enterprise-class wifi experience is growing in small businesses due to the growth of mobile devices and the increasing use of cloud applications. In addition, there are growing user expectations for a secure, always-on connection. Finally, according to Aruba, small businesses often have the need to follow the biggest technology shifts and trends, but do not always have the IT resources to do so.

Instant On

Aruba’s Instant On portfolio must therefore provide solutions to these problems. For example, the portfolio includes the leading 802.11ac Wave 2 technology. It should also be a simple, quick to install solution that offers the flexibility to scale up. For the installation and management of the network, a simple, intuitive mobile app has been added. However, it is also possible to manage Instant On via the cloud-based web portal. The management should even be possible for people with no technical background.

The network is also equipped with best-in-class security features, including compliance with the latest authentication protocols such as WPA2/WPA3. Businesses can easily expand their Instant On network to locations that are difficult to access with a fixed Internet connection, thanks to the available Smart Mash technology. Finally, there are several options for installing the network – for example on a desktop, ceiling or on the wall – to suit different SME environments.
