HPE is launching a new Wi-Fi 6 access point and stackable switch. The Aruba Instant On AP22D access point promises no bottlenecks or performance degradation for connected devices. The Instant On 1960 stackable switch has a port capacity of 2.5Gb.

According to HPE, stronger network connections are in high demand. A “substantial increase in the use of data-intensive applications” have challenged current networks. As we know, this is true for many larger companies with the movement toward more complex IT systems, but data usage has also increased for organisations on a smaller scale.

Stacking capabilities

The Aruba Instant On AP22D Wi-Fi 6 access point should provide the highest possible speed for each connected device. The new Aruba Instant On 1960 stackable switch then helps businesses scale as they grow as an organization. It is available to order now on the Aruba Networking website.

“Stackable” here means that new switches can be added continuously if the 2.5Gb port capacity is no longer sufficient. So additional investments would not have to be too large, according to HPE. As a whole, the Aruba Instant On portfolio offers the ability to enable edge-to-cloud, including for SMBs.

“SMBs are looking for an affordable, high-performance network with cloud agility that is easy to use to extend their networks, along with their businesses,” said Amol Mitra, vice president and general manager, HPE Aruba Networking global small and medium business. “HPE Aruba Networking simplifies network deployment and management through an easy-to-use mobile app that delivers a simple, smart and secure offering for SMB customers.”
