Orange Business Services enhances Visibility-as-a-Service for end-user experience

Orange Business Services has improved its Visibility-as-a-Service (VaaS). The improvement should help companies to remove the guesswork from the end-to-end application performance measurement.

The VaaS solution is based on Riverbed’s SteelCentral Aternity-technology. This makes it possible to carry out end-to-end performance monitoring from the digital experience to the end user’s device, no matter how complex the infrastructure is or where it is located.

“This solution adds to our connectivity portfolio to provide the best user experience for our customers. The holistic view of application performance is invaluable not only for change management in projects, but also throughout the life cycle of services,” said Pierre-Louis Biaggi, Vice President Connectivity Business Unit at Orange Business Services.

Troubleshooting and troubleshooting

Including the end user’s device in the application performance monitoring solution comes with several advantages. This enables IT departments, for example, to accurately identify and solve problems, which, according to Orange Business Services, means that departments are less likely to point at each other.

IT departments can also identify potential performance issues before the user notices them. It is then possible to take steps to solve the problems in the device, the application or the infrastructure. Calls to the support department are thus limited and the experience of digital users or end users needs to be improved.

Visibility-as-a-Service also supports key deployments such as SD-WAN, Microsoft and cloud migrations. This is because it can measure the impact on the end user before and after the change. It also plays an important role in optimizing the infrastructure by detecting the impact of small changes as a software patch on users.
