Axis Communications introduces the new AXIS S3008 Recorder. The recorder is compatible with AXIS Companion video management software (VMS) and offers the possibility to record footage in UHD-resolution.
The Axis S3008 has been extensively tested with a wide range of Axis products and makes it easy to add additional recorders and other Axis devices. For example, it is possible to add network speakers to communicate with staff or to deter intruders. The recorder is compatible with AXIS Companion VMS (version 4), which makes it easy to manage all installed Axis products.
Key features include a compact design with integrated PoE switch, one gigabit uplink for UHD-resolution video recording, easy installation, a video surveillance compatible hard drive, USB 3.0 for exporting video and a warranty of up to 5 years.
Axis end-to-end
The Axis S3008 is the successor to the Axis Companion Recorder that was removed from the product range earlier in 2020. The product is part of the Axis end-to-end concept in which SMEs can set up a complete security system based on Axis products.
In addition, users of the Axis S3008 Recorder can access video footage anywhere through Axis Secure Remote Access which allows mobile devices or PCs to access the network cameras.
