Kyndryl and Nokia are collaborating on private LTE and 5G solutions. Upcoming high-performance network solutions should help joint customers modernize networks faster.

The collaboration builds on an existing partnership for wireless connectivity. Nokia’s Digital Automation Cloud (DAC) application platform was recently paired with Kyndryl’s consulting, design, implementation and management services. The joint solution targeted companies looking to embrace IoT, cloud and AI capabilities.

According to both parties, the project led to successful private LTE and 5G implementations and proof-of-concepts. Hence, the partners are proceeding on a larger scale.

Collaboration tastes like more

According to Kyndryl and Nokia, LTE and 5G networks enable flexible operational options that benefit various sectors. The organizations particularly see potential for the manufacturing industry.

The new collaboration focuses on delivering existing private LTE and 5G solutions and developing integrated services. The latter includes services for edge computing, cloud, IP, networking, optics, fixed access and 4G. Furthermore, the collaboration should progress the development of software-based 5G Core and network management technology.
