Odyssey is expanding into Europe with a ‘high tech repair center’ in The Netherlands. The American organization specializes in repairs of radio frequency equipment. Odyssey works for large customers in the chip industry, including NXP.

The impact of the global chip shortage goes beyond scarcity. Chip design- and manufacturing equipment runs at full capacity. Equipment availability is just as important as the final product. Hence, Odyssey is busy.

The organization specializes in chip production equipment repairs. Customers such as NXP knock on Odyssey’s door to swiftly get broken radio frequency (RF) devices up and running.

Speed is of the essence. Therefore, Odyssey is expanding into Europe. The specialist establishes a new location at the Novio Tech Campus in Nijmegen, a Dutch city. Resultingly, Odyssey can be now be found in three locations worldwide — America, Singapore and the Netherlands.

Novio Tech Campus and Odyssey

The Novio Tech Campus is home to Europe’s largest chip factory. The offices of NXP, Ampleon and Nexperia are located on the campus. The location allows Odyssey to find partners and talents. Organizations that presently work on campus gain an electrotechnical specialist: Odyssey claims to be able to repair virtually any chip manufacturing device.

The organization hopes to further expand in the Netherlands. The municipality of Nijmegen, Novio Tech Campus and fundraiser OostNL are investing in Odyssey to realize more laboratory space and capacity. Besides chip production equipment, the new location will focus on medical RF devices, including MRI scanners.
