AWS aims to connect customers with its AI and machine learning experts pool, who will guide them in developing and launching their generative AI solutions, products, and services.
Generative AI has gained global recognition through the emergence of chatbots like ChatGPT and image generators, which have reduced the burden of laborious knowledge work.
AWS now wants to help customers build and deploy their own AI solutions. Therefore the company invested $100 million in a new program, named Generative AI Innovation Center.
Matt Garman, the Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Global Services at AWS, emphasized the reason for coming up with the Generative AI Innovation Center, stating, “It is part of our goal to help every organization leverage AI by providing flexible and cost-effective generative AI services for the enterprise, alongside our team of generative AI experts to take advantage of all this new technology has to offer.”
Access to experts and resources
A dedicated team of strategists, engineers, and solutions architects will guide customers step-by-step in constructing tailored systems and applications harnessing generative AI.
Workshops, engagements, and training programs on the latest technologies will let customers explore the potential business value of implementing generative AI effectively. The center will also offer guidance on industry best practices and ethical considerations for a responsible application of this technology.
AWS furthermore will help customers connect to its suite of services. This includes CodeWhisperer—an AI-powered coding companion—and Bedrock, a fully managed service that supplies foundational generative AI models from leading labs such as AI21, Anthropic, Stability AI, and Amazon’s in-house models.
A transition period
Customers can train their own models on Amazon’s infrastructure and employ SageMaker, a managed suite of tools and infrastructure for AI development, to build, train, and deploy their AI models.
With its Generative AI Innovation Center, AWS aims to propel the adoption and utilization of generative AI across various industries.
