SoftwareOne has received recognition from Amazon Web Services (AWS) for its expertise in the field of agentic AI. The company has earned the AWS AI Competency in the Agentic AI category, a certification intended for partners with proven experience in developing and implementing advanced AI solutions on the AWS platform.
With this new competency, SoftwareOne now holds a total of 23 AWS Competencies. According to AWS, these competencies are designed to help customers identify partners with proven experience in specific technology and application areas.
Focus on production environments
The Agentic AI category focuses on AI systems that can independently plan and execute tasks, utilize external tools, and make decisions autonomously to a limited extent. AWS introduced this competency as an extension of the existing Generative AI Competency, through which the cloud platform is responding to the growing interest in AI agents in business applications.
According to SoftwareOne, the market is shifting from experimental AI projects to large-scale implementations within production environments. Issues surrounding data management, governance, security, software licensing, and cost control are playing an increasingly important role in this shift. The company states that organizations need support to make such AI applications manageable and scalable.
Validation through customer projects
To earn the competency, AWS partners must demonstrate that they have successfully completed AI projects. SoftwareOne based the certification on multiple validated customer implementations in Southeast Asia, including projects in Singapore and Vietnam. According to the company, AI solutions were deployed for purposes such as process optimization, decision-making support, and improving the user experience within complex multi-cloud environments.
The new certification complements the AWS Generative AI Competency that SoftwareOne had previously earned.
