Shipa, a Kubernetes app development and management platform, today announced that it is launching Shipa Cloud to help developers, DevOps teams, and platform engineers manage and support cloud-native apps.
Shipa Cloud is a secure platform centered around developer needs, for managing operating applications on Kubernetes, including the automatic creation and deployment of all objects.
It operates within the app layer and makes sure that developers can see the app’s entire context without interacting with infrastructure or having to look up Kubernetes skirts. Because of this, the developers and engineers involved do not need to be Kubernetes experts.
Shipa’s role
Bruno Andrade, the Chief Executive at Shipa said that Kubernetes is a powerful and requisite tool for modern application development, but many businesses using it are finding it complex to manage. Andrade says that Shipa was launched in 2020 to make the infrastructure tasks easy.
Shipa Cloud has features and benefits that include the elimination of existing YAML and Helm charting, easy installation and governance, out-of-the-box integration with many cloud-native tools, and post-deployment observation.
After installing Shipa Cloud, DevOps teams will not have to update YAML files all the time or maintain policies for automated governance.
The solutions offered by Shipa Cloud
After deployment, Shipa will give users capabilities like visibility across all applications for statuses, network policies, and objects dependencies. It also connects with numerous pre-built connections into existing management tools for application lifecycle history and version management.
DevOps teams can set governance policies easily across the entire application stack. When deployed, it applies to user roles, network security, resource use, and more.
The platform can integrate with many cloud-native apps that are popular with users, such as Datadog, Circle Internet Services, Traefik Labs, Istio, and Vault by HashiCorp, among others.
