Industrial IoT specialist PTC has acquired Intland Software. Intland Software develops Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) solutions. With the acquisition, PTC expands its ALM portfolio for business sectors with high demands on security and regulation.
PTC is forking over 280 million dollars (266 million euros) in cash. The IIoT specialist aims to become a stronger player in the field of ALM solutions for companies that value security and compliance. The acquisition should contribute to PTC’s portfolio, including its PLM software and model-based solutions for systems engineering.
German company Intland Software offers Codebeamer, acloud-based ALM software portfolio. Codebeamer allows companies to manage risks and tests for critical software environments. In addition, the ALM software can be integrated with tools for DevOps and source code management. For this purpose, Codebeamer has ready-to-use templates and various integrations with third-party tools.
Introduction of Windchill+
In addition to the acquisition of Intland Software, the Industrial IoT specialist recently introduced the new cloud-based Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution, Windchill+. By delivering this software via SaaS, customers can bring products to market faster. Windchill+ facilitates fast and secure collaboration with external supply chain partners.
