Microsoft releases Cloud for Healthcare

Microsoft releases Cloud for Healthcare

Microsoft has released its first vertical cloud solution. With Cloud for Healthcare, the company offers a full range of solutions tailored to the health industry.

The solution combines elements of Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to meet the needs of health industry workers.

Virtual meetings

The software suite is designed to deal with both structured and unstructured data and offers features like AI-based bots and the ability to conduct virtual doctor’s visits.

Furthermore, the package enables access to and exchange and use of electronic health records between patients, healthcare providers, and health plans.

Cloud for Healthcare is also intended to work with other software packages used in the healthcare industry. To achieve this, Microsoft is looking to join forces with system integrators.

First vertical

Earlier this year, Microsoft announced that it started working on custom software solutions for specific businesses. Cloud for Healthcare is the first package built for a so-called vertical. The company has not yet announced any other verticals it wants to develop software for.
