Aiming to expand its ecosystem, Kyndryl is to enter into collaborations with VMware and SAP.

Kyndryl, a managed infrastructure specialist that resulted from a split-off from VMware, says its goals align with VMware’s expertise. Both companies focus on helping customers transfer their applications to the cloud and develop new cloud-native services, making close collaboration natural.

Kyndryl and VMware will collaborate on cloud infrastructure and management, managed applications, digital work environments, networking and edge computing. In addition, both companies will align their expertise, capabilities and resources on a local, regional and global level. To this end, a joint innovation lab for application modernization, container development, observability and security based on VMware Tanzu will be created. In addition, support for VMware Cross-Cloud services will be increased.

Closer ties with SAP

In addition, Kyndryl is tightening its ties with SAP. The managed infrastructure specialist already provides SAP services such as cloud deployments, project management, migrations and data and AI integrations. Now, Kyndryl has earned additional SAP certifications for its operational capabilities for SAP cloud and infrastructure work. These include certifications for SAP HANA operations, global hosting, SAP Business Suite, SAP SuccessFactors and DevOps.
