Cisco updated Webex to further support iPhones, iPad, MacBooks and iMacs. Webex now integrates with Apple AirPlay by default.
Cisco is standardizing AirPlay for its Webex Room, Desk, and Board device series. AirPlay allows users to connect their iPhone, iPad or Mac devices wirelessly for content and screen sharing in Webex meetings and calls.
AirPlay’s built-in privacy and security are included. A PIN may be required when sharing information via AirPlay. The functionality will be available starting in June 2022.
Further integrations
Additionally, Webex gains new features and integrations with well-known platforms such as MS Teams, Zoom, Google Meet and the upcoming Webex Go. The latter allows business users to more easily integrate Webex Calling features in dedicated business lines and cell phones. Doing so improves call quality and functionality.
