Pure Storage gets major role in Kyndryl’s infrastructure services

Kyndryl will provide Pure Storage’s storage technology to customers. The organizations announce a global partnership.

In October 2021, IBM’s managed infrastructure division split off into a new company: Kyndryl. Since, the company has been making its mark as an enterprise consultant and service provider of data, AI, cloud and networking.

As of today, Pure Storage’s storage-as-a-service technology is included in Kyndryl’s offering. The organizations announced a global partnership.

Kyndryl will integrate Pure Storage into multiple services. The organization is training specialists to offer Pure Storage to new and existing customers.

Pure Storage and Kyndryl

Pure Storage develops physical FlashArrays and a storage management platform to deploy and manage workloads. Kyndryl implements infrastructure and software for cloud applications (including analytics and AI), SD-WAN networking, security and more.

Storage infrastructure is relevant to most of Kyndryl’s services. Therefore, the organizations will collaborate on various subjects, including migrations, automation, multi-cloud management and containerization. New services — and new versions of existing services — are made available in an as-a-service model.

“Our alliance can help customers identify and take advantage of new ways to manage, secure, and analyze their mission-critical multi-cloud business data”, shares Stephen Leonard, Global Alliances & Partnerships Leader at Kyndryl.
