Acer is introducing two “AI PCs” based on Intel Core Ultra processors. The new Swift and Aspire series of laptops will see the light of day over the next six months.
2024 is expected to be the breakthrough of the so-called AI PC. This is a desktop or laptop capable of running and processing AI applications. Laptop manufacturer Acer introducing two new series of laptops during CES 2024 that have been given the AI PC designation. Both series of laptops, the Swift and new Aspire models, have been given the Intel Core Ultra processor, among others, as the basis for this.

AI technology Acer laptops
For the Acer Swift series, all laptops, both the Go and the top X14 model, feature an Intel Core Ultra processor, Intel AI-Boost technology, energy-efficient AI acceleration and an Intel Arc GPU. The top model in this series, the Acer Swift X14, has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU and associated Nvidia technology.
In the case of the new Acer Aspire models, this only applies to the Aspire Vero 16 AI PC model. This model additionally features Intel AI-Boost technology. The other two new Aspire Go models in this portfolio feature an Intel i3 n processor, or in the case of the Go14, also the choice of an AMD Ryzen 7000-series processor.
All new laptops in the series come standard with Microsoft Copilot via a separate key on the keyboard. They also all have Acer PurifiedVoice 2.0 noise reduction. Additionally, the Swift laptops all have Acer PurifiedView technology for video enhancement.
New Acer Swift models
The new Acer Swift series consists of two Swift Go laptops and the aforementioned top-of-the-line X14 model. The Go series come in 14- and 16-inch versions with an OLED screen. Other features include an Intel WiFi 7 chipset, new features for ease of use and improved AI-powered capabilities.
The top-of-the-line Acer Swift X14 model also has access to more than 120 NVIDIA RTX accelerated applications, pre-installed NVIDIA Studio Drivers and a Calman-verified and Acer Light Sensing enhanced 2.8K 14.5-inch OLED display. It also has extensive ventilation capabilities due to a large fan, dedicated copper heat pipes and a special keyboard design with air intakes for improved heat regulation.
Aspire models
Available in 15.6- and 14-inch versions, the new Acer Aspire Go models feature an FHD or a WUXGA display, up to 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a suite of essential features to enhance user experiences.
The top model in this series, the Acer Aspire Vero 16, is built from sustainable recycled plastic. This laptop also features several smart applications, including the AcerSense application for laptop battery management, power saving and performance management. The addition of Intel Unison 2.0 integrates multiple devices and operating systems on one screen for seamless productivity.
Available in Benelux
The Acer Swift X14 will be available in Europe from April and cost 1,899 euros. Availability and pricing for the Acer Swift 14 and 16 models have not yet been announced.
The new Acer Aspire Vero 16 will be available in May 2024 and will cost 999 euros. The Acer Go 14 will also be available in May and cost 549 euros. When the Acer Aspire Go 15 will hit the market and how much this laptop will cost is also not yet known.
