Lenovo is introducing an updated portfolio of Yoga laptops during CES 2024. Most importantly, these laptops will also have Intel Core Ultra processors on board, including AI functionality.
Like other major PC manufacturers, Lenovo is also using CES as its habitual venue to introduce new laptops. By using Intel Core Ultra chips, it thereby promises the arrival of a new “AI PC“.
Among the various laptop versions that have now seen the light of day, the new Lenovo Yoga 9i 2-in-1 laptop is the top model.
In its standard version, this 2-in-1 laptop features an Intel Core Ultra 7-155H processor that should bring better performance, especially in terms of supporting AI solutions and applications, than previous editions. To that end, the 2-in-1 laptop is also equipped with an Intel Arc GPU.
More features
Other features include (still rather limited) 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of SSD storage capacity and a 14-inch OLED screen. Besides coming in gray, the laptop/tablet is also available in a “Cosmic Blue” color.
The Yoga 9i 2-in-1 laptop will be available from April this year and will start at $1,449.99.
Lenovo Yoga series
The slightly cheaper Lenovo Yoga 7i series, with 14- and 16-inch variants, has also received an update with Intel Core Ultra processors. Admittedly, these laptops do not have Intel Arc GPUs, but more traditional Intel Iris Xe GPUs. Both versions do have a separate key on the keyboard for activating Windows Copilot.
The Lenovo Yoga 7i 14-inch (Gen 9) and 16-inch versions will be available this April, starting from $849.99 and $899.99, respectively.
Other Intel Core Ultra implementations
Furthermore, the Lenovo Pro and Book series of laptops are also being upgraded with Intel Core Ultra processors. However, the most inexpensive models in these series will get an AMD Ryzen 8000-series processor on board. The Lenovo Yoga Pro series do all feature various GPUs from Nvidia.
Other Lenovo upgrades with the latest Intel processor or an AMD processor can be found in the Yoga Slim 5-i, IdeaPad 5i-, and IdeaPad 5-series of laptops and tablets.
