The iPhone SE 4 is getting an improved camera and a larger screen. Users will have to pay a higher price for the upgrades.
The iPhone SE 4 is expected in spring 2025. An official announcement is also still awaited. The rumors, on the other hand, are already flowing.
Recently, a picture was posted on the Chinese social media network Weibo, where a render of the back of the iPhone SE 4 appears to be visible. Later, posts with rumored iPhone features followed. In the past, the rumors shared turned out to be correct more than once, but there is thus no complete guarantee of authenticity.
Screen and front
First, the new screen appears to get enlarged to 6.06 inches. The screen is said to be OLED and will support a refresh rate of 60 Hz. About the inside of the device, it is speculated that there will be an A18 chip, and the phone will come in two RAM variants: 6 GB or 8 GB. The A18 chip is made by Apple and is said to be optimized for AI functions. This would mean that the iPhone SE 4 will get Apple’s latest chip, the official announcement of which is expected when the iPhone 16 is announced.
The front is rumored to resemble the iPhone 14, and it’s semi-twin the iPhone 15, with the thick bezel at the bottom of the screen and the physical Apple button disappearing.
2 cameras
The render generated rumors about the camera. That feature appears to be improved with a 48 MP camera. For the rear, the design of the iPhone 15 will be shaken up, though. Indeed, according to the render, the cameras will be located below each other. It is important to note here that the iPhone SE model appears to be getting a total of two cameras for the first time.
Starting again
Finally, the price is estimated to be between $499 and $549. By comparison, the 2022 iPhone SE costed $429 at release. After this, Apple paused production of the iPhone SE, which will resume in 2025.
