monday.com, the Israeli collaboration software company, has opened a new office in London and selected the city as its European headquarters. The cloud-based SaaS (software-as-a-service) company will also double its employee count in the capital.

The move follows a tripling of the company’s revenues in the UK compared to 2020, surpassing over 13,000 UK customers. Will Hale, norther European leader at monday.com, said that the expansion into the UK market is another key phase in its continued growth and marks its “first office directly serving the European market”

A work OS

monday.com has its world headquarters in Tel Aviv and describes itself as a cloud-based work operating system or work OS, in which teams can create workflow apps to run their processes, projects, and daily tasks in just minutes. Some of its customers include prominent companies like the Marriott Hotel, Uber, and PayPal.

Earlier this year, monday.com listed on the US Nasdaq stock exchange in an IPO that placed its value at $7.5 billion. Riding on the momentum of the public listing, the company plans to double the workforce in London in the next year. The roles it seeks to full include marketing, partnerships, alliances, IT, and consulting.

Going global

The company intends to take its expansion plans global by localizing its platform and giving users a flexible and adaptable work OS. Additionally, the company is creating its partner infrastructure and enabling a self-sufficient ecosystem driven by strategic partnerships in the UK.

Hale added that the company is thrilled to welcome new customers and partners to build the London team, allowing more users to grow and excel with the work OS. The company has partnered with over 85 channel partners, with a presence in over 45 countries across the globe.
