EnGenius has introduced a number of new SD-WAN gateways that will allow companies to better secure their cloud environments and services. The gateways should also improve connectivity to branch offices more efficient, and make setting it up more efficiently.

Three new SD-WAN gateways are being introduced, in addition to the ESG510 4-Port Multi-Gigabit PoE+ Cloud SD-WAN Gateway that’s already on the market: the ESG320 4-Port Gigabit PoE+ Cloud SD-WAN Gateway, the ESG610 4-Port Multi-Gigabit PoE+ Cloud SD-WAN Gateway and the ESG620 8-Port Multi-Gigabit PoE+ Cloud SD-WAN Gateway.

Functionality

The new SD-WAN gateways integrate with EnGenius’ already existing cloud-managed access points and switches. All of the new SD-WAN gateways feature Auto-VPN and NAT traversal, network topology and VPN status visibility, stateful firewall and firewall policies that can be applied to all, and dual-WAN load balance and failover.

The gateways can be managed via the EnGenius Cloud. In addition, the new SD-WAN gateways feature zero-touch system maintenance and automatic updates. Other functionality includes on-the-go management with Cloud To-Go and multi-mode passthrough and routing options.

On the security front, the new SD-WAN gateways embrace Zero Trust. This should better secure connections between corporate headquarters with branch offices. Organizations have multiple levels of authentication at their disposal, including device authentication.

The new EnGenius SD-WAN gateways should be available in the second quarter of this year.
