Fujitsu will bring its public cloud business, until now housed in Fujitsu Cloud Technologies, entirely within its umbrella tech group. This is what the Japanese tech giant announced recently.
Fujitsu wants its public cloud offerings to become one with its various services. Until now, these offerings have been provided through Fujitsu Cloud Technologies.
The aim of this “streamlining” is that, in the process, the Japanese tech giant can offer customers a better range of enhanced and integrated public cloud services that are better tailored to their business needs.
Improve competitive position
In addition, the integration should also ensure that Futjisu can continue to compete with other tech companies in the field of public cloud services.
To this end, the tech giant says it wants to implement the latest technology around public cloud services to “increase transparency and security and reliability.” This is to be done by combining its existing public cloud services with service delivery functionality for large enterprises.
Fujitsu public cloud services offering
Fujitsu’s public cloud offerings include Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) services, hosting services, email-as-a-service, and back-end services for mobile applications.
The integration is an internal merger between business units, so no further financial details were disclosed. Fujitsu made the announcement on the eve of its latest figures for the first half of 2023.
