Dell PowerStore now supports the Nutanix Cloud Platform, available with NCI 7.6. Deployment is handled through Dell Private Cloud, which provides automated lifecycle management and hardware support. This makes PowerStore the second Dell storage platform to integrate with Nutanix.
PowerStore, Dell’s all-flash midrange storage solution, now connects to the Nutanix Cloud Platform via AHV. The integration is based on a decoupled architecture. Compute and storage scale independently of each other, depending on the actual workload. PowerStore’s Dynamic Resiliency Engine enables per-drive scaling.
What the combination delivers
Dell promises end-to-end NVMe performance and a guaranteed 6:1 data reduction ratio through always-on deduplication and compression. For cyber resilience, the offering ranges from asynchronous replication to Metro-level synchronous replication with both an RPO and RTO of zero. Protection policies are managed through Prism, while backups via Dell PowerProtect Data Manager provide long-term retention and cloud archiving.
On the Nutanix side, the modern virtualization model takes center stage. AHV serves as the built-in hypervisor. Prism manages compute, storage, virtualization, and disaster recovery.
Dell emphasizes that it now offers the broadest infrastructure portfolio for Nutanix environments. The partnership has been in place for fourteen years. Meanwhile, PowerStore continues to evolve. PowerStore 4.3 was recently released, featuring support for 30TB QLC drives and enhanced cybersecurity.
