Nutanix and Dell build multicloud solutions together

The renewed partnership between Nutanix and Dell includes two new products and a go-to-market strategy.

The new solutions should allow enterprises to streamline their private and hybrid multicloud deployments. First, through an integrated hyper-converged appliance that combines the Nutanix Cloud Platform and Dell servers. This includes PowerEdge models optimized for Nutanix to meet the needs of the widest possible range of applications.

In addition, the two companies see that flexibility and ecosystem choice are increasingly important. Therefore, they will integrate the Nutanix Cloud Platform more tightly with PowerFlex. This will allow companies that need to scale compute and storage separately to more easily scale Dell storage with Nutanix’s software.

Both solutions are currently in development. More details will emerge over time. Later this year, companies will have access to the new products via early access.

Go-to-market

In addition to these two new solutions, the two companies will collaborate on engineering, go-to-market, support and services. This will allow Dell users greater access to the Nutanix Cloud Platform. Dell’s sales teams and partners will distribute more of the Nutanix software.

“Enterprises are managing a growing number of applications across on-premises, public cloud and at the edge and looking for a unified platform to run their legacy and containerized applications,” said Tarkan Maner, Chief Commercial Officer at Nutanix. “This expanded collaboration will enable Dell and Nutanix joint customers to benefit from increased flexibility, simplified operations and strengthened resilience.”

The renewed partnership was announced at the .NEXT 2024 conference. Techzine is at the event and reportt on key developments.
