Keepit announces AI Truth Cloud, an extension of its SaaS backup platform focused on enterprise AI. The Danish company aims to use backup data as a verified, immutable foundation for AI agents to reason. Three features mark the launch: AI Connector Backup, an MCP platform, and the AI Safe Room.
As AI agents make autonomous decisions within business processes, the question shifts from “Can we restore this data?” to “Can we trust this data?” This is where Keepit positions its new platform layer. AI Truth Cloud is designed to enable organizations to verify the authenticity, provenance, and integrity of data before it enters an AI system.
The foundation beneath it is familiar territory for Keepit: a vendor-neutral cloud containing an immutable copy of all data from protected SaaS applications, including every version. That independence is precisely what the company bases its claim to “truth” on.
“Organizations are making high-stakes decisions based on what their AI tells them. But data that can’t be verified shouldn’t be acted on,” says co-founder and Chief Visionary Officer Frederik Schouboe.
Three features from the roadmap
The platform rests on five pillars: Protect, Monitor, Restore, Prove, and Integrate. AI Connector Backup extends existing protection to AI tools themselves. Agent configurations, AI skills, projects, and models receive point-in-time recovery. If an agent behaves unexpectedly or becomes compromised, that copy serves as a verified recovery point.
In addition, a Keepit MCP platform will be introduced. This headless API layer built around the Model Context Protocol connects Keepit to AI tools and workflows, enabling systems to programmatically retrieve and verify managed data.
The third feature, AI Safe Room, focuses on AI models that run directly on production data. For this purpose, Keepit provides an isolated environment based on an immutable copy, intended for training, inference, and testing. If a model or prompt produces unintended results, the production environment remains unaffected.
In the coming years, Keepit will expand the platform across all five pillars. Plans include behavioral monitoring of AI agents, automated generation of compliance evidence, cryptographic data provenance, and AI-driven rollback following threats.
