Microsoft has released its latest plans for improving the Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. This year’s Release Wave 1 Plan includes preview and production-ready updates for customers and partners.

Microsoft releases an update for its platform every year. On January 25, the firm published the 2022 Release Wave 1 documentation for Microsoft Dynamics and Power Platform that highlights all the new features expected in the first of two waves for this year. The period covered would be April 2022 to September 2022. The company also published documentation for its vertical Industry Clouds.

What is included in the new plans?

The official documentation provides numerous insights on the updated features. Microsoft has displayed downloadable PDFs. The 412-paged PDF for Wave 1 elaborates on the new features added to Dynamics 365 and the Industry Clouds. The 147-paged PDF document provides details on the Wave 1 features for the Power Platform.

The documentation also presents information on early access. The option for early access on some features in Wave 1 will be made live on January 31, 2022. Other than that, users can access the new features on April 1, 2022.

The Dynamics 365 2022 Wave 1 plan provides comprehensive updates on marketing, sales, customer service, field service, finance, supply chain management, supply chain insights, HR (Human Resources), commerce, business central, connected spaces, guides, remote assist, fraud protections, customer voice, and Microsoft cloud for healthcare, finance, sustainability, and nonprofit.

Some of the updates could be applied gradually. The documentation highlights the different ways in which data and Artificial Intelligence are leveraged to optimize all the products’ capabilities. Additionally, the documentation provides insight on Teams integration. Dynamics 365 Connected Spaces has also been renamed to Dynamics 365 Connected Store service.
